Quindar Partners with Starfish Space To Strengthen In-Space Operations

Partnership supports secure on-orbit servicing, while reducing operational burden

DENVER, February 5, 2026 –  Quindar, the company powering autonomous and scalable mission control across hybrid space systems, today announced a partnership agreement with Starfish Space, developers of the Otter satellite servicing vehicle and providers of life extension and end-of-life services for satellites in orbit. Under the agreement, Quindar will support operations for Starfish’s first three Otter missions, providing secure, automated mission control infrastructure designed to reduce operational complexity and costs.

Quindar addresses the challenges inherent in complex modern space missions by providing a common operating picture that automates mission planning, execution, and monitoring. This eliminates the need for operators to build and maintain bespoke mission control software or standup a dedicated internal team as missions evolve and scale.

“Autonomous on-orbit servicing will be fundamental to how the United States sustains and defends space assets over the next decade,” said Nate Hamet, co-founder and CEO of Quindar. “Starfish is pioneering capabilities that matter deeply to national security. Quindar’s role is to ensure those missions can be executed with speed, resilience, and trust.”

By providing automation-first operations, Quindar enables Starfish to focus on differentiated spacecraft and software capabilities while leveraging Quindar’s proven, secure infrastructure to support mission operations. This approach reduces total cost of ownership while improving operational readiness - an increasingly important requirement as government agencies seek faster, more adaptable acquisition and fielding models for space systems.

“Starfish is focused on making satellite servicing affordable and available,” said Austin Link, Co-Founder of StarfishSpace. “Quindar has been a tremendous partner to Starfish in supporting the execution of complex missions in orbit, and we look forward to continuing our work with them as we launch the first Otter missions starting this year.”

The partnership reflects a broader shift across the space and defense sectors toward software-defined operations, autonomy, and modular infrastructure that can adapt as missions, threats, and priorities change. Together, Quindar and Starfish are laying the groundwork fora new operational model - one that treats mission control as a resilient utility rather than a bespoke engineering project.

About Starfish Space

Starfish Space, based in Tukwila, Washington, is building the infrastructure for humanity’s expansion into space. This mission starts with Otter, a satellite servicing vehicle providing life extension services for geostationary satellites and disposal services for low Earth orbit satellites. Founded in 2019, Starfish has raised over $50M in venture capital funding to-date and built a team of engineers with experience spanning satellite guidance, navigation, control, and autonomous robotics. Starfish has launched and executed several demonstration missions to-date, and is launching its first full Otter missions for SES, NASA, and the US SpaceForce starting in 2026.
